Miranda Leigh Lambert is an American country singer and songwriter. She started her career in early 2001 by releasing her first album independently. In 2003, she came in third place on the Nashville Star television show, a singing competition aired on the American network. In addition to her solo career, she is also a member of the Pistol Annies formed in 2011 alongside Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. Lambert has been honored with the Grammy Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards. Lambert has received more awards from the Academy of Country Music than any other artist in history. Lambert's second and debut album, Kerosene, was certified Platinum in the US and produced the singles "Me and Charlie Talking", "Bring Me Down", "Kerosene" and "New Strings". All four singles entered the top 40 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs. Her second album, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, was released in early 2007
She rose to prominence after finishing third in the third season of Nashville Star in 2003, thanks to her outspoken and occasionally harsh lyrics.
